The NCAR Archives' new exhibit, "Celebrating 50 years at the Mesa Laboratory," is now open! The exhibit will run through December 2017 and is located in the Library at the Mesa Lab. During the official Mesa Lab anniversary celebrations in August, the exhibit will move temporarily down to the lobby of the Mesa Lab. Please stop by the exhibit to see artifacts, documents, and photographs from the design, construction, and dedication of the Mesa Lab as well as highlights from its 50-year history.

The Mesa Laboratory was dedicated in May 1967, and the 50th anniversary celebrations include a lecture on the history of the building on Saturday, August 19th at noon in the Mesa Laboratory Seminar Room. Professor Bill Leslie of Johns Hopkins University will present his talk entitled "A Different Kind of Beauty: I.M. Pei's Modernist Masterpiece."
