Have you ever found a box of family photos and letters in a grandparent's attic or in a parent's garage? What will our grandchildren and beyond find that tells them the story of our lives? In the 21st century, our memories often exist on hard drives as digital photographs or correspondence in an email account. Our personal archives exist in bits and bytes. The Library of Congress recently issued this free publication, "Perspectives on Personal Digital Archiving," a useful resource offering advice about how to best preserve your personal digital archive, providing information on how to manage digital photographs, social media accounts, and more.  Check it out and take a step towards preserving your own history.
